Supported charities
Debbie and Bertie have been volunteering for Pets As Therapy since 2018.
Weekly visits are made, on an alternating basis to a local nursing home where the residents stroke, cuddle and, sometimes, sneakily feed Bertie biscuits and to a Primary School for the Read2Dogs scheme.
Ad-hoc visits are also made to the University of Surrey to help students de-stress before exams, to a Police Station and also to various fayres and fetes where the amazing work of Pets As Therapy is promoted.
If you would like to find out more information on Pets As Therapy, or would like to get involved with your pet (it’s not restricted to dogs!), please see: www.petsastherapy.org.
